A swaggering giant of a man, Don-Jon’s stories are as big as his strides. He’s tried his hand at prospecting, mining, fur trading, privateering, and whaling. There’s little the man hasn’t taken a turn at.

When he’s not at the Stonehill Inn awaiting an escort to the Mountain’s Toe mine, Raskin can be found at the Phandalin Miner’s Exchange, insisting he could make the journey alone if his employers weren’t so insistent upon companions for him. Regardless, he’s been content to share drinks and stories of his professional escapades with other miners while biding his time in Phandalin.

A tale he’s told more than once is “the rust monster incident,” in which he once led a mining company into a new vein of ore – only to discover it was home to a rust monster nest. Tools dissolved, mine carts pitted, and Don-Jon barely made it back with his belt buckle intact to hear him tell it.
