Garaele’s Stories: Skeletons

It’s October. Tis’ the season for ghosts, and ghouls, and zombies, and werewolves.

You may have noticed that’s all I’ve been talking about this month. Especially since I have a Halloween themed mini-adventure called The Festival of Faces, which is free for download over at Dungeon Master’s Guild. Download it for some inspiration! Details below.

Contained within the adventure are three of Sister Garaele’s stories (ghouls, zombies, banshees), which I shared in previous entries this month – all of which are featured in the adventure. May as well go 4-for-4 and share her story on Skeletons.

It’s lighter on narrative than the other stories, but it’s still a fun little bit of lore.

“Some folks are evil right down to their bones, children. So evil, in fact, that when their wicked souls depart the land of the living, their malice lingers, interred with their mortal remains, awaiting a blasphemous call to rise up from the grave and stalk the living.”

I actually have two others that didn’t make the final cut because I had to fit everything into 8 pages. Think I’ll share those later this week.
