Who says Agatha has to be the only restless spirit in town? Conyberry met its end in 1385 DR when a lycanthropic tribe of barbarians attacked the village and slaughtered many of its inhabitants. Those who survived the carnage were carried off by the Gray Wolf tribe, presumably to be turned into werewolves against their will.
So why shouldn’t there be paranormal activity at the site of such a tragic event?
Standing at the corner of an abandoned home at the furthest end of the village, a pair of disheveled, filthy villagers (a young man and young woman) hold hands and stare impassively at anyone entering Conyberry.
Those approaching the villagers within 100 feet notice each has gruesome injuries: the young man’s throat is a horrifying ruin of shredded flesh, while the young woman’s glistening intestines dangle from a gaping hole that has been torn into her abdomen. Both are covered in fresh blood and gore.
These are former residents of Conyberry who met a cruel end over a century ago when the Gray Wolf tribe descended upon their village. They linger in Conyberry as ghosts, and only materialize on evenings when the moon is full – just as it was on the night when their home was attacked.
The ghosts are capable of conversation, and will reveal anything they know about Conyberry’s history and the fate of the village if questioned. If anyone attempts to move closer to them, the ghosts will walk out of sight behind the wall of the cottage they stand beside, then vanish.
