For a guy who once considered Gnomengarde his least favorite adventure among the pages of Dragon of Icespire Peak, it would seem I cannot shut up about the mushroom capital of the Sword Coast. About 10% of my articles are Gnomengarde-inspired. I should consider changing the name of this blog.

Anyhoo, another Gnomengardian common magic item idea popped into my mind, along with the realization that, if you think about it, Gnomengarde could kind of be like the 15th century version of Wave Echo Cave – just with less powerful magic items as the finished products.

This especially makes sense if you subscribe to my theory that the Gnomengardians are descendants of the gnomes who survived the attack of Wave Echo Cave five centuries ago.

Bounce Back Pack
wondrous item, common
Only humanoids can wear this backpack. While carrying this pack, you can re-roll a failed saving throw for any effect that would otherwise knock you prone, but you must use the new roll.

On a successful re-rolled saving throw, you bounce lightly back to your feet without it costing half your movement.
