Despite her friendly, kind, and sensitive nature, there was once a time when Elsa found herself drawn to confident and charming men possessed of a devil-may-care attitude and utter disregard for authority. It was during a romance with one such rascal that Elsa became an unwitting accessory to the murder of a City Watch member in Waterdeep’s Dock Ward.

Distraught by the murder and faced with the prospect of spending her prime years subject to back-breaking labor at Waterdeep’s agrarian penal colony, Amendsfarm (or possibly much worse), Elsa fled the city as a passenger on a merchant caravan destined for Neverwinter, eventually leading her to settle in Phandalin.

Despite the traumatic experience that forced her to flee the justice of Waterdeep, Elsa still finds bad boys irresistible. Especially the adventuring types.
